Roderick's Chamber


The only shots that turned out of Faith and the Muse. The negitives are okay, but the print job was (say it all together now) crappy. It was a disappointing show. They started late, there were technical problems with the sound equipment, which might explain why I could hear the guitar player tuning his guitar and testing effects during the singer's solo piece. It would have been more professional of the performers to not complain about the sound equipment, accusing 'them' of screwing up, during their show.

In my opinion, if you missed Faith and the Muse playing live on Tuesday, you didn't miss much. What you did miss is Roderick's Chamber and that is something I feel is worth saying "nyah nyah!" over.

Here's an attempt to catch the dance floor at Roderick's. I should have known better than to try, since it's strangely if not dimly lit inside. The dj was playing some music I think he's not supposed to have, and he played some Snog which I only hear the best Toronto dj's play. You have to see this place, because I'll probably gush too much over it...

...I mean, there's room for vendors for chrissake! Little alcove where Blackened Angels has clothes and Unspun Records>has, um, records. (Griffin! What's your URL?) Four dance cages that the patron can use, sweeping staircases to the booths above and overlooking the bar area, green room / VIP lounge with art hanging in it and overlooking the dance floor. I was so envious I asked for a "rye and ginger" just so I could complain about the bartenders. For those living in the States, "rye" is whiskey that is less than half corn mash, which I just found out is called "Canadian Whiskey" in your neck of the woods.

Who is this guy? He was standing next to me when I was getting my bags to leave so I could crash on someone's couch before my flight. He's wearing a C3 t-shirt so he must be someone important. Should I have asked for his autograph?

That's it. The rest of my photos are either not worth commenting on, or they sucked so hard that I didn't scan them in. I don't think you're willing to wait a whole year for my CIV photos, so go draw pictures for the contest, go find the easter eggs in this site, go to the other C3 aftermath pages linked in the list of contextless links on the front page.
