Pride Day in Toronto
June 25 2000

The annual non-heterosexual parade that swamps the first kilometer of the world's longest street with music, dance, colourful(!) costumes and goodwill. Taken at street level and from a friend's window -- not my proudest work, but I salvaged some gems from the two rolls I shot. I ended up leaving early because the spectators around me were being a**holes, littering, shoving, trampling flowers and such. Odd that the police, religous nuts and cavorting satyrs in the streets weren't as unruly as the bystanders. Certainly a credit to the participants -- and despite my gripes about crowds, the show is worth any hassles.

It goes without saying that people pictured here can use their pictures as they see fit, so long as I get credited as the photographer.
